The "National Special Fund for Laparoscopic Surgery Training in County Level Hospitals" project of the China International Medical Exchange Foundation aims to cultivate frontline clinical surgeons in county level grassroots hospitals through the faculty of large Class III hospitals, promote the cultivation of medical and technical personnel and the development of medical science and technology in county level hospitals, and improve the health level of the people.
As a training center, the Department of Gynecology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Shandong First Medical University, with the support of the China International Medical Exchange Foundation, carried out a public welfare project. On June 10, 2022, the second class opening ceremony was held in a combination of online and offline methods. Hospital leaders attached great importance to this training activity.

Professor Rong Fengnian, Director of Gynecology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shandong First Medical University, gave a detailed introduction to the foundation and students about the situation of the gynecological training base, the development and achievements of the training work. The Department of Gynecology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shandong First Medical University is a postgraduate and doctoral training unit of Shandong University, as well as a postgraduate training unit of Shandong First Medical University and Weifang Medical College. It is the first batch of standardized training bases for residents of the National Health Commission. China Women's Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Prevention and Treatment Project Technical Training Center. Shandong Provincial Key Medical and Health Specialty, the affiliated unit of the Shandong Provincial Medical Association Hysteroscopic Doctor Branch and the Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Prevention and Treatment Doctor Branch, as well as the affiliated unit of the Shandong Research Hospital Association Gynecological Minimally Invasive Technology Research and Gynecological Tumor Research Branch. The gynecological department features minimally invasive techniques represented by laparoscopy, transluminal endoscopy, hysteroscopy, and transvaginal techniques, as well as prevention and treatment of female pelvic floor dysfunction. Currently, gynecological endoscopic technology covers almost all fields requiring invasive treatment in gynecology, including general gynecological diseases and gynecological malignant tumors. The rate of endoscopic surgery has reached 85% of total surgery. Currently, the department of gynecology undertakes 12 scientific research projects at or above the provincial department level, and 2 special disease big data innovation alliances of the provincial health and health commission. There are 3 national level continuing education projects and 2 provincial level continuing education projects. Clinical technical training is conducted in different forms every year, including laparoscopic training, hysteroscopy training, vaginal surgery training, pelvic floor rehabilitation training, etc. Various forms, including hands-on training courses, academic meetings and exchanges, special sessions and lectures, long-term, medium and short-term refresher learning, peer visits and exchanges, etc. Since 2001, a training course on minimally invasive techniques has been held annually for 10 consecutive years, training more than 4000 gynecologists. In 2016, the technology of transumbilical single hole laparoscopic surgery was pioneered in Shandong Province, and promoted throughout the province and even the country. More than 200 doctors were trained, making minimally invasive gynecological technology even more beautiful. I hope that all students can make full use of the learning opportunities. While learning endoscopic technology, they also need to learn the surgical philosophy advocated by our department, namely, "making simple surgery exquisite and perfect, and making complex surgery standardized and safe," to better serve women's health.

Director Cao Ligen, the project leader of the "National County Hospital Laparoscopic Surgery Training Special Fund" of the China International Medical Exchange Foundation, which was founded by the Chinese Medical Association in 1988 and approved by the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Civil Affairs, warmly congratulated and further introduced the upcoming second training course in Beijing through an online platform. Since its establishment for 30 years, it has always been aimed at promoting international medical exchanges, actively committed to social welfare undertakings, and serving China's medical care and medical modernization. Funded by Beijing Anhe Galier Technology Co., Ltd., the China International Medical Exchange Foundation and the Chinese Medical Association are jointly established to improve the laparoscopic surgery capabilities of county level hospitals in China, thereby meeting the medical service needs of county residents. Implement the relevant spirit of the national medical and health system reform with practical actions, and promote the construction of a hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system. In 2021, the Department of Gynecology of Qianfo Mountain Hospital in Shandong Province passed the application and review process, officially becoming the "National County Hospital Laparoscopic Surgery Training Unit" of the Chinese Medical Association of the China International Medical Exchange Foundation. Director Cao Ligen, on behalf of the Foundation, highly valued and recognized our gynecological training work and the faculty team, and expressed gratitude to our hospital's leaders, department directors, and medical workers for their hard work in training. At the same time, I also hope that the trainees from grassroots hospitals who participate in the training will cherish this training opportunity, truly apply what they have learned, and be able to play a role in their own jobs in the future, providing better help to local patients.
